Seven Dials is welcoming the wonderful creativity of London Craft Week 2021 to our streets this October. Explore the professional expertise of some of our independent stores and makers up-close – witness the creation, learn the history, or just sample some of your best loved products.

London Craft Week is the annual exploration and showcase of the very best in craftsmanship and artisan makers across London – pick up a guide from any of the brands taking part below or visit their website to see what else is on throughout London.

Visit Experimental Perfume Club’s lab boutique to learn the trade of an expert perfumerier, visit the Tatty Devine jewellery exhibition or step into the shoes of a master chocolatier with Pierre Hermé. London Craft Week is the perfect opportunity to work alongside the craftspeople behind the brand and witness up close the practices that perfect an array of different art forms.

Healthy Skin Assessment and Bespoke Masterclass with Kiehl’s, Monmouth Street

This exclusive event running daily for the duration of London Craft Week is an opportunity to have an expert masterclass in healthy skin, with a unique insight into the world of Kiehl’s knowledge. Visitors will be able to discuss with skin experts how best to look after your Healthy Skin Barrier as the seasons change, with in-depth skin consultations using their exclusive Healthy Skin Assessment Technology, analysis of your hydration and skin barrier results, not to mention a personalised prescription of skincare formulas to suit your needs.

In-Store Monogramming at Away, Earlham Street

Pay a visit to travel accessory brand Away, who will be offering complimentary monogramming with any polycarbonate suitcase purchase in their Seven Dials store. A local artist will be hand-painting a variety of fonts, colours and designs exclusively for customers in store from 12-4pm on the 9th and 10th during London Craft Week.

Behind the Scenes of Experimental Perfume Club’s Perfume Lab, Monmouth Street 

At an exclusive open-lab day on 8th October, visitors will gain a unique insight into the artistry of perfume creation with an illuminating behind the scenes tour of Experimental Perfume Club, where through their training academy and fine fragrance collections, they empower people to explore, experience and experiment with fragrances, as well as the opportunity to create and keep your very own new signature perfume blend!

Nappa Dori Leather-Working Masterclass, Monmouth Street

On 6th & 9th, learn quintessential Indian craftsmanship from the experts at Nappa Dori’s leatherwork DIY masterclasses, where you will discover the age-old method of stitching and colouring your very own genuine leather Envelope Pouch, all enjoyed over a cup of Masala Chai – the traditional drink of India. The class aims to illuminate the traditional craftsmanship practised by a generation of Indian artisans, every handcrafted piece of Nappa Dori accessories or luggage is an expression of fine individuality.

Create Your Own Personal Map at London Graphic Centre, Shelton Street

Come and join artist Christine Nicholls of Inkpot & Pen on 7th to create your own personal map. World Monuments Fund Documentary Showcase, Covent Garden Hotel, Monmouth Street

Experience the sights and sounds of World Monuments Fund’s Stonemasonry Training Programme in this short documentary film premiere at the Covent Garden Hotel. The screening is followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Wayne Holloway, hosted by John Darlington Executive Director at WMF Britain. WMF is a charity which champions the conservation of exceptional works of architecture and monuments, working with local communities to ensure sites in their care are protected for future generations.

Takumi Townhouse Exhibition at Unit X, Earlham Street

At this exclusive exhibition that celebrates the ‘takumi’, a word given to artisans who dedicate years to mastering and refining their skills working across leather, glass, wood, metal and paper, visitors will have the chance to see works by the five artists featured in the Lexus ‘In Search of Takumi’ series: Otis Ingrams, Peter Layton, Sally Burnett, Will Barker and Clare Pentlow, alongside their peers.

The Art of Banksy, Earlham Street

The renowned Banksy exhibition is in Seven Dials, featuring 80 of the artist’s original works. Prints, screenprints, sculptures, canvasses and other unique pieces from 1997 – 2008 are on show, ranging from the iconic ‘Girl and Balloon’, ‘Flower Thrower’ and ‘Rude Copper’ to artworks rarely seen by the public.

The Art of Banksy, which has toured from Melbourne to Miami, is not authorised by the artist and therefore not curated in collaboration with him. The exhibition displays the world’s largest collection of privately owned Banksy works.
