Discover 40 of the hottest up and coming independent designers you've been following on Instagram under one roof.
This December, Appear Here, the leading marketplace for short-term retail, will launch Give & Receive, a curated emporium of independent brands - just in time for Christmas.
Appear Here have teamed up with store curator Marina Guergova (of The Basics Store and Marina London) to open Give & Receive, for two weeks from Saturday 8 December, Seven Dials.
The concept store will be presented in a truly individual space at 40 Earlham Street at the site of a former stables, bringing together 40 of the hottest up and coming independent designers you’ve been coveting on Instagram into one beautifully curated hub, alongside festive food, drinks and creative workshops to create a Christmas ‘market’ with a difference.
Whoever you’re buying for, this is a one-stop-shop offering completely original gifts bought directly from the people who made them.
The space will showcase sustainable fashion designs from The Acey, chemical-free candles from EYM, Francesca Gentilli’s vintage Berber rugs, prints by Hôtel Magique, handmade ceramics by KANA, organic hair and beauty products from Glasshouse Salon, Marina London’s silk basics and so much more.
The Give & Receive concept store will offer shoppers an opportunity to browse exclusive handmade products which are usually only available online, while also offering shoppers a chance to meet the talented founders themselves, as they’ll be on site to help you make the perfect purchase.
In the Pine Tree-lined courtyard, Good & Proper Tea will be serving warming tea and crumpets from their 1974 Citroën-H van; there’ll be popcorn from Drum & Kernel to snack on and drinks from The Wine Butler. Once inside, visitors will be greeted by an interactive display platform built by Fred Rigby, alongside curated gift guides from style icons including Rosa Park and Brittany Bathgate.
Downstairs, you’ll find the vibrant workshop space where you can meet the makers and take part in workshops that they run themselves.
For those feeling inspired, there are plenty of chances to unleash your creativity throughout December at one of the gift-making workshops, where you can learn to make terrariums with We are Leafage, make your own charm necklaces & bracelets with Alighieri, candles with Milkwood Margate, beauty products with Hackney Herbal, mystical crystals with Wolf Sister or jewellery with Workbench.
You can even take a life-drawing class with the brilliant Alexa Coe and bid on her art as she creates it live in the store.
