My Seven Dials
Micayla Morris, Media Researcher and fan of WC2, shares her slice of seven dials
This week we're thrilled to present Micayla Morris' Slice of Seven Dials. A confessed fan of the area, Micayla was inspired to share her own experience of Seven Dials after reading our last 'Slice of' as featured in the Seven Dials newsletter. Read on to discover Micayla's tried and tested, favourite places to shop, eat and drink.
What’s your favourite place to shop in Seven Dials?
It’s a hard choice but I would have to say Urban Outfitters on Earlham Street. I believe that fashion is all about expressing your personality through clothes and Urban Outfitters’ kitschy and ironic merchandise is a great place to be able to do so. There’s always an item in there that you can’t leave without, whether it be a T-shirt that shouts out how you may be feeling that day or an item in the home and gift section that you just wouldn't be able to find anywhere else.
What’s your favourite bar or restaurant in Seven Dials?
Definitely Belgo Centraal. It’s not just the food that makes this place special, its cool 1990s’s design and architecture makes this restaurant a great place to dine overall. I have never been a huge beer fan but since its one of their many specialities alongside oysters, I was left with no choice but to indulge. The Gulden Draak is certainly one I’d recommend trying out.
What makes Seven Dials so special for you?
Where do I start? Immediately as I step into Seven Dials I feel as if I have entered a place of tranquillity. It’s like a small world inside a big city. I instantly feel at ease which isn’t often the case when out in other London shopping areas. Seven Dials caters to everyone's needs whether it be shopping, eating and drinking, or simply soaking up London life.
