My Seven Dials

Seven Dials Shopper, Pavan Ryot, Shares Her Slice Of Seven Dials

October 2011
What's your favourite place in Seven Dials to shop?

I adore all of the rich fabrics and feminine styles of clothing you find in the Orion London boutique. Their scarves and dresses are so glamorous and really reasonably priced for a London boutique too. It’s not a shop, but I always visit Sassoon Salon too if I’m looking to have my hair re-styled. I visited once on a whim, and the whole experience was so wonderful I always pop back in for a blow-dry now and then. The service is impeccable.

What's your favourite eatery or watering hole in Seven Dials?

Whenever I visit Seven Dials I always stay overnight at The Mercer Street Hotel – their rooms, service and especially the food is always of the highest quality. They have a great cocktail menu too, which is always kept fresh and updated with new combinations to try. I’m also a big fan of Souk Medina on Shorts Gardens. It has a great lively atmosphere, and the food served is authentic and rich in flavour.

What makes Seven Dials so special for you?

I live outside of London, but spend a lot of time in Seven Dials as it’s within convenient location of all the London shows and has a great atmosphere of hustle and bustle, without being too touristy. As I mentioned, I always stay at The Mercer Street Hotel which has a splendid view of The Dial – another highlight of the area. Personally, I think Seven Dials has a real luxurious quality that is missing from the high-street. The little boutiques and real glamour of the area are what makes Seven Dials particularly special for me
