'The Recruiting Officer’ Returns To Its West End Birthplace At The Donmar Warehouse This February
This month, the award winning Donmar Warehouse sees the opening of a new exciting production – ‘The Recruiting Officer’.
Produced under the supervision of Donmar artistic director Josie Rourke, The Recruiting Officer is a reproduction of George Farquhar’s triumphant comedy, originally performed in Drury Lane back in 1706. From military manoeuvring to sexual strategies, The Recruiting Officer is an unashamed celebration of love, lustiness and victory in battle and in the bedroom.
With a star cast including Mackenzie Crook from The Office, and Mark Gatiss of The League of Gentlemen, The Recruiting Officer is set to be a hit, returning to its original west end birthplace.
The Recruiting Officer opens officially on the 14th February, following previews from the 9th February.
