Seven Dials Celebrates London Design Festival With Theo & Friends Pop-up Store
September 2011
To celebrate London Design Festival 2011, Seven Dials welcomes new homewares and design pop-up store Theo & Friends to Monmouth Street. Curated by product and furniture designer Thorsten van Elten, his first pop-up store brings together a unique range of weird and wonderful items designed for the modern home including quirky cushions, post-modern kitchenwares and ornamental pieces.
Deriving from Thorsten van Elten’s online store, which specialises in British, German and other Central European Design goods of exceptional quality, the pop-up features new collections chosen by Thorsten van Elton alongside products from acclaimed friends and designers such as Daniel Emma, Rob Brandt, Kathleen Hills, Donna Wilson, Very Good and Proper, Arash & Kelly and Boskke, to name a few.
The Theo & Friends pop-up shop will also be hosting some of the designers in-store as shop assistants providing Seven Dials shoppers the opportunity of meeting the artists behind their creations and getting firsthand advice on the products in-store and how they can be incorporated into your home. Commencing this Saturday 24th September, author Max Fraser will be in-store between 16.00 and 17.00 to sign copies of his latest edition of the London Design Guide. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to ask him about his latest projects including his recent work for cancer charity ‘Maggie’s’ with his ‘Joy of Living’ art exhibition at Somerset House.
Theo & Friends Pop-Up Shop will be located at 65 Monmouth Street until Sunday 25 September 2011.
