To celebrate the Museum of Broken Relationships’ London debut, the Tristan Bates Theatre has commissioned a course of exciting artistic and cultural events to be held throughout the course of the exhibition.
18th August; First Date Night
For a unique date idea, new couples can explore the Museum of Broken Relationships at their exclusive couples only ‘First Date Night’ this Thursday 18th August. With a museum full of oddities at your disposal, conversation will be sure to flow freely as you embrace the romantic concept of new relationships blossoming amongst remnants of lost love. To set the mood, tickets also include a free glass of wine and a red carnation.
21st August; Q&A With Agony Aunt, Irma Kurtz
If you’ve got an existing partner and are looking for some relationship advice then don’t miss the opportunity to ask Cosmopolitan’s agony aunt Irma Kurtz all of your burning questions on how to maintain the perfect relationship. This Sunday 21st August at the Seven Dials club, Irma will be imparting her wisdom to ease troubled minds and help prevent any further broken relationships.
27th August: Seven Dials Festival
Want to get the full experience? Then round up the week with a wide variety of art, cultural and musical events, by exploring the Seven Dials festival on Saturday 27th August held across the area’s seven streets. Enjoy 100 stories of the museum objects as told by 100 actors, interactive dance with a new composition by pioneering dance company, Guerilla Dance Project or free recitals of some of the nation’s favourite love poetry. Finish the evening with a trip to St. Giles in Field Church, where at 8pm the London Film School will be showcasing a series of short films inspired by donated objects within the Museum of Broken Relationships.
