Tristan Bates Theatre Invites You To The Seven Dials Festival!

August 2010

This Saturday, 4th September, Tristan Bates Theatre in Seven Dials is joining forces with Theatre Nomad, The Phoenix Garden Trust and Camden Arts to host a day of fun and entertainment. 'The Seven Dials Festival' includes live bands, dancers, a street parade, performances, animals and a night market.

Starting at 12pm in the Phoenix Garden and St Giles’ Churchyard, the festival begins with an Agricultural Show and Fayre where farm animals, morris dancers, a pigeon display, bell ringing, falconry and a Punch and Judy show will provide the day’s entertainment. After 6pm a series of free outdoor performances will take place around the Seven Dials area and at 8.30 a procession led by a Chinese Dragon will lead the audience from St Giles’ Churchyard to the Tristan Bates Theatre where the festivities will continue with a night market, live music and bar.

The finale to the festival will culminate in the Tristan Bates Theatre’s ‘Midnight Matinee’, starting at midnight and continuing until the wee hours of the morning. The line-up will feature cabaret and comedy, including Pistol and Jack, a comedy duo who have become a sensation in London comedy and club circles.

If you are looking for something to do this weekend, come down and enjoy the fun – free of charge!
