The SMart Collection exhibition goes on view at the Seven Dials Club on Earlham Street this Friday 5th November. The exhibition will feature the best paintings and drawings produced by SMart artists for their 10th Anniversary Special. To celebrate the opening this Friday there will be live entertainment, auctions and raffles to get involved in at the club from 6:30pm -11pm.
SMart is a registered charity, dedicated to changing the lives of socially excluded people through the arts. Its purpose is to promote works of art created by people experiencing these difficulties, and so provide a route back in to mainstream life, giving the support and opportunities necessary to gain independence and social integration. For more than then a decade, SMart has been bringing socially marginalised people to visit and attend practical workshops at venues such as the National Gallery, The Courtauld Institute of Art, Tate Modern, Tate Britain, The British Museum and SMart Network. SMart has previously organised exhibitions of work by its group members in major public and private art galleries, museums and the corporate sector, and this week arrives at the Seven Dials Club.
The exhibition is open daily from 11am-11pm until the 4th January 2011, and is a great opportunity to admire and purchase original art work at affordable prices.
