The original British satchel company was founded in 2008 by Julie Deane and her mother Freda Thomas at Julie’s kitchen table just outside Cambridge. The quirky, colourful leather satchels, inspired by the traditional satchels of the 1970s, are now sold in more than 100 countries, and the “Brit It Bag” has been carried by a range of celebrities; from Zooey Deschanel and Alexa Chung to Daniel Radcliffe and the cast of Mad Men. Collections at the Seven Dials boutique include Metallics, Patent British Racing Green, Classics, Backpacks, Music Bags and an exclusive embossing services.
